Gold Medals, Judges Selections and Other Honors

2014 Tin Barn Zinfandel Russian River Valley, Gilsson Vineyard

This classic, versatile Zinfandel is sourced from a 65-year-old vineyard on the eastside of Windsor where the fruit is exposed to morning fog. Our 2014 vintage displays depth and complexity, with hints of vanilla and a long finish. This velvety, seductive wine reveals the intensity of its fruit source while showing a restraint and balance unusual for its varietal.

Gold Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition; Judge's Selection & Gold Medal, TexSom International Wine Competition

2014 Tin Barn Vineyards Syrah Sonoma Coast, Coryelle Fields

Our cool climate Syrah comes from the coastal hills north of Jenner, in a remote vineyard near our namesake Tin Barn Road. Sourced from a rocky hillside block just above the fog line (elevation 1000 feet) the fruit ripens slowly in the coastal air. As a result, this wine imparts a distinctive earthiness that is characteristic of Northern Rhône Syrah.

Silver Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

2014 Tin Barn Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley, Pickberry Vineyards

Sometimes it's nice not to know what's been said about a wine. This is an award winner, but come taste it for yourself and tell us what delicious qualities you find in it. We can't wait to hear your insights.  Because, in the end, that's all that matters!
