Carolyn Coryelle’s vineyard is located in the coastal hills east of Jenner and Fort Ross above 1000 feet elevation, and provides Tin Barn with a unique source of cool climate California Syrah. Carolyn has planted both a meadow and a hill block. The 2006 vintage is comprised of 100% hillside grapes.
This wine has a deep purple/red color with aromas of violets and earth. Hints of smoky bacon give the wine a true ‘Northern Rhone’ character--a product of the beautiful location of the vineyard and the optimal growing conditions. The middle palate is full, and the wine has a long finish capped off by a touch of sweet French oak.
