2005 NAPA VALLEY CABERNET BLEND

63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot

Volker and Liesel Eisele's vineyard is located in the Chiles Valley District of Napa Valley. The fruit for this wine all comes from a block that Volker and his son have replanted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

This is our third 'Meritage' wine from the Eisele Vineyard . Blended in a 'Bordeaux' style, it is an outstanding combination of flavors and textures. The wine is a deep reddish purple color with lovely clove, spice and berry notes in the nose. The blend has a soft tannic structure resulting from the Merlot and Cabernet Franc and finishes with a nice touch of toasty French oak.
